Katie is a retired R.N. and former paramedic Katie says she’s been “horse crazy” since birth and that there is no cure. Her first dog was a rehomed Afghan hound named Nosa and there have been many dogs, cat and horses since.
Earlier in her career, she worked at the Humane Society of Missouri in St. Louis. Some things she says have changed, but not the need for spay/neuter.
Katie is pictured with her mare, Belle, she watched as Belle was born and was the first human to touch her.
Katie fills one of our “at-large” positions on the executive board. These positions have no defined responsibilities, instead they assist in areas best suited to their skills and experience.
